KEWL Studio is an emerging film production studio based in Melbourne (Naarm). The space hosts a collective of filmmakers and video content creators from Melbourne working in a collaborative environment. 

 

KEWL has seen success with debut documentary feature ‘ Now Sound: Melbourne's Listening' premiering at Melbourne International Film Festival in 2018. As a production company KEWL is working towards making further developments in the music film space as well as producing more long-form original content. Their latest release was Sex and Death (2020), a six-part drama-comedy series with principal funding from Screen Australia set to air on SBS Viceland. 

 

KEWL Originals is a weekly online release of short films, features and series from the creators and collaborators at KEWL studio. All films will be hosted on KEWL’s YouTube channel. Each week we will profile one creator and release a piece of work relevant to their practice. All Melbourne based, all award winning projects with some yet to be released publicly.
